City Reviewed Closing of Tubagus Angke Railway Crossing

Jakarta Provincial Government was reviewing closing of railway crossing at Jalan Tubagus Angke, Tambora, West Jakarta. Besides considering the security factor,  the road already now has flyover so that the traffic would not be disrupted.

We're going to review the closing of railway crossing at Tubagus Angke

Previously, last Sunday morning (12/6), Metromini B80 route Jembatan Lima-Kalideres was hit by Commuter Line train and causing teens of passengers died. The Metromini B 7760 FD was hit after breaking through the railway crossing .

"We're going to review the closing of railway crossing at Tubagus Angke. Even it's closed there had been flyover ," said Head of Jakarta Transportation Department, Andri Yansyah, Monday (12/7).

PT KAI Please Build Overpass Railway, Basuki Says

According to him, the accident was the impact of the unclosed railway. Because, by such condition, it is possible to allow people breaking through the crossing.

"Logically, there is still crossing which people can break through it. Like the incident yesterday that was really ridiculous," he expressed.
